Brett Lee’s prediction for IPL 2024
Lee who has the experience having won the prize back in 2012. Lee, who won the trophy with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), exuded confidence in Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Lee admitted that RCB as the perennial favorites for the trophy due to their impressive squad. But an ex- World Cup winner strongly believed that this year could be the year that everything is in place for them.
“I looked over the list of teams and I think the RCB is a good chance of winning this year. I’ll be betting on the team. They’ve been arguably the perfect team for a couple of years. However, there may be an alternative way they’re playing. It’s true that there are enough superstitions in India. The team is changing its name and colour of its jersey, it could be the year for them ,”> Lee added.
Challenges before the new edition
Despite having one of the most talented squads in the last sixteen years RCB are unable to win the IPL trophy just once. Despite making it to the finals in a number of occasions but they’ve always failed under pressure, which led to disappointment. Today, with the benefit of stalwarts Virat Kohli, and Glenn Maxwell, they are determined to correct their previous mistakes under the direction by Faf du Plessis. Their mission to redeem themselves will begin by playing MS Dhoni’s CSK in the tournament’s opening match on the 22nd of March.
